The central theme of Breakfast At Tiffany's is the struggle Holly Golightly (the protagonist) undergoes, constantly trying to choose between a life of freedom or one of stability. The result of this indecision is that she lives a half-life; a compromise of the two, neither of which are completely satisfying. I expressed this theme through the visual narrative of the title sequences of Holly going to a cafe for breakfast but as she goes through the menu, she can't chose what to get so she compromises with an insubstantial coffee before leaving.
To remain consistent from the poster through the titles I art directed a dynamic scene of objects, photographed it and kept the aesthetic smooth but expressed the era the movie was filmed by making the images duo-toned.
